Rebecca Oelkers is BHC’s Chief Executive Officer. She has worked in the affordable housing sector for more than two decades, including 15 years in executive roles within BHC. Rebecca leads a growing team of 85 staff who have delivered more than 2,000 homes across 50 developments since 2002. Under her leadership, BHC is currently delivering the largest pipeline of social and affordable housing in the organisation’s history, with more than 1,200 new homes in the pipeline across Queensland.
Most recently, Rebecca has strengthened BHC’s partnerships with institutional investment partners - spearheading one of Australia’s first deals to bring institutional investment into the provision of social and affordable housing - and secured funding support from the Queensland Government to accelerate the delivery of BHC’s major development pipeline.
Rebecca is also the inaugural Chair of Australian Community Housing (ACH), the national peak body for community housing. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
