Stacey Broadbent

Stacey is a strong Aboriginal woman, with familial ties to the Tharawal, Yuin and Dhunghutti nations. Stacey’s her career expands over 20 years in the social and affordable housing sector across the strategic and operational fields with a strong focus on improving First Nations Housing capability.

Stacey has experience across public and social housing sectors, including the establishment of the Aboriginal tenant’s advice and advocacy service and was instrumental in the United Nations Special Rapporteur for Housing in coming to Australia to undertake a review of public/social housing with particular focus on women and housing.

While employed for the NSW State Government, Stacey was instrumental in the establishment of the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office’s previous regulatory regime (Provider Assessment Registration System) and at the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH).

Throughout her career, she has held many positions which have all been underpinned by a social, legal and regulatory context and has operated within many varied sectors related to public/social housing. Some examples of her experience include General Manager, Senior Consultant, Director of Policy, A/Registrar of Community Housing, ACHL National Manager and currently as the CEO of the ACHL Group of Companies.
