Scott Bacon is the Group Executive Manager Strategic Assets & Growth at Home in Place and has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles, specialising in strategic asset management and the delivery of large-scale projects across complex and diverse portfolios. His experience spans various sectors including transport, government, logistics, and housing, providing him with strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of governance, risk, and lifecycle asset management within regulated environments.
Formerly a Director of a successful consultancy, Scott joined Home in Place in April 2025. He leads development, acquisitions, and facilities management functions and is accountable for the full asset lifecycle, including planning, procurement, maintenance, and compliance. His purpose is to ensures Home in Place has control of the assets the manage. This include establishing and overseeing HiP’s Strategic Asset Management framework implementation which enables the property assets are fit-for-purpose, financially sustainable, and aligned with long-term community and organisational objectives.
Scott is committed to driving sustainable growth by leveraging technical capability and aligning stakeholder needs with measured outcomes. He plays a key role in negotiating partnerships that support state and federal government priorities and contribute to addressing community housing supply challenges. His executive capability is underpinned by strong formal qualifications, including Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Senior Certified Asset Practitioner (WPiAM), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Bachelor of Construction Management.
