Caitlin co-leads the housing research at the Institute for Sustainable Futures, with a focus on sustainable, climate-resilient and affordable housing. Caitlin led the research for CHIA NSW’s Towards 2050: the megatrends transforming community housing and co-facilitated a futures-thinking course for senior decision-makers in community housing. She has been at the forefront of some high impact research over the past two decades, including award-winning guides and research that has informed policies and programs at all levels of government. She recently won a grant from the Australian Public Policy Institute to explore an affordable home ownership model for Australia’s growing cohort of ‘forever renters’, and has developed several award-winning guides and toolkits on sustainability and climate resilience in housing, including the Australian Government’s Your Home.
